Published by Ravan Press, Johannesburg, 1974. First edition, first printing. The rare variant in darker cloth of J M Coetzee’s first book. Signed by the author on the title page and in its own matching custom-made slipcase. A tight unread copy with some pushing to the spine edges and the normal slant due to it being such a thin book. The dust jacket is bright with one small closed tear.  J M Coetzee was instrumental in establishing Oak Tree Fine Press and has generously signed many books to assist our efforts. The provenance of the signature is thus guaranteed.
