Modern First Editions – Booker Prize Winner – Signed with Proof

P.H. Newby

Published by Faber and Faber, London, 1968. The holy grail for any collector of the Booker Prize, this copy of the first winner of the prize is signed and dated and comes with a letter signed by him, as well as a proof copy which is all housed in a specially made slipcase. First edition, first impression.  Fine in fine dustwrapper. The d/w has no creasing, shelf wear or sun damage and is in very bright, unfaded, crisp condition. It is not price clipped and displays the original price of 30s £1.50 on the inner front flap. The rarest of all the Booker winners. No copy with these signatures exists elsewhere to the best of our knowledge.
