Midnight’s Children

Modern First Editions – Booker Prize Winner – Signed with Signed Proof

Salman Rushdie

Published by Jonathan Cape Ltd, London, 1981.  First edition, first printing. A near fine book in near fine dustwrapper with no visible faults or fading. Signed by the author, who has also inscribed the book on the title page “To Sean, better late than never”.   Included with the dust wrapper is the scarce Booker Prize winner for the 1981 wrap-around band showing some fading that does not affect the jacket. Together with this is the signed publisher’s proof copy which, though worn, is scarce enough for the author, when signing it, to express his surprise to see it. Presented in a specially handmade slipcase. Oak Tree Fine Press has published a limited edition of the author’s work, who also generously signed a number of his books, this included, to assist in our efforts. The provenance of the signature is thus guaranteed.
